Contestant #23

G and Haylee

Contestant #21

Contestant #20

"This is a picture of Batman, soaking up that warm Southern California sunshine."

Contestant #19

Sheelin MacKitty
The photos were taken of sweet Sheelin as a four month old kitten when she first became part of our "Scrappy Cat Cat Toys" testing team. She and her house mates carefully made sure our kitty toys were cat tested, approved and ready for marketing. She was sitting in a basket full of the toys for the first shot, then laid down in them and peeked over the side.

She is the kitten of a abandonned, expectant calico that we fostered and fell in love with. Both Sheelin and her momma kitty, Abhalinn have found a permanent home with us.

Sheelin is now two years old and actually comes when we call "Sheelinny, Sheelinny, Shelinny!"

Molly, Maggie and Max

This photo is titled "Sibling Love."
"Molly, Maggie and Max's most wonderful gift is the gift of togetherness. They are siblings and have never been apart for more than a day in their lives. They do everything together: eat together, sleep together, play together, plot to take over the world get the picture! We love them and they love us, and they definitely love each other!"

Contestant #17

"Jasper is my 9mth old Holland Lop bunny. He loves attention and the camera. "

Contestant #16

"I have several cats, but Simon decided to declare his holiday spirit one day by sitting in my Christmas door wreath!
He loves everything about Christmas. A Christmas tree to play under, bows to steal off presents, Christmas special cartoons on TV (he's fascinated by them!) and his own kitty present to open by himself on Christmas morning. He even has his own stocking! (All my kitties do! Santa has to have somewhere to hide their presents!)

Contestant #15

"She is a rescue dog I have had for about 6 months. Kona is a desert dog from Tucson, AZ but, we are currently in Santa Cruz, CA. The temp got down to about 31 degrees last night and she was uncomfortably cold. I gave her this tee shirt to wear and then today I bought her a sweater. She was grateful for the tee shirt but I think she likes the sweater better."

Contestant #14

"Harley is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever that was transported to a NJ shelter from a kill shelter down south. He recently visited Santa to help raise money for homeless pets. It's Harley's first Christmas with his new family."

Contestant #10

"Willie's First Day of School" At least, that's what he thought. Willie found a bookbag laying on the floor. Of course he had to take a long and refreshing nap in it. Later in the day, I found our daughter walking around with Willie on her back!

Contestant #9

"Lumper is a 23 pound Main coon cat, that we adopted from a animal shelter 4 years ago that is spoiled rotten. He will sit for hours listening to my kids play bluegrass gospel music, and loves his people. He loves to be covered up with his baby blanket and loves to be read to."

He is 5 years old - we have raised him since he was 10 days old - he was found in our back yard :( what kind of kitty momma would leave such a sweetie! He is our little baby boy :) "

"Barkley is a 5 month old Brussels Griffon. He loves his squeaky stocking toy (and pretty much anything that squeaks). He gets all excited every time he figures out how to squeak it himself. As you can tell it was a long day of taking Christmas card pictures! We were lucky enough to get this one last shot with Barkley fast asleep, still wearing his elf hat!"

Contestant #4

Princess Daisy

"Princess Daisy is a puppy mill rescue and a cancer survivor! She spent 6 years in a puppy mill and now lives the life of a spoiled Princess!"

Contestant #3

"He is a rescue dog so he had it pretty rough up until I adopted him. This was his first Christmas with us and my family and I went all out with buying him goodies. I chose this picture because his expression cracks me up. This was the first present he 'opened' and he's sooo intense staring at his new toy inside."

Contestant #2

"While preparing for this photograph pumpkin didn't want anything to do with the hat and scarf and I thought I could train her to wear it but I was thinking that you can't train a cat. But I did, the first time I put the scarf on her she ran and kept trying to get it off so I gave her a treat and took off the scarf, next day same thing, 3rd day she just fiddled a little and I gave her a the 4th day she was happy to put the scarf and hat on because she was getting a treat. Now she loves wearing it. Always congratulated with a treat."

"Here is my pet, Twizzle. I've always found him to be a unique color and fuzz. He isn't a Persian, really.. I think he's a mix.

This is my favorite picture of him. I guess he was a dog in his past life, haha!"

December Pet Photo Contest - "Pet Prezzies"

"It was like this when we got here".

This December, think gifts! When you think gifts, don't forget your little four legged friends. They get just as excited over a new toy, accessory, outfit, or treat as their human siblings. Send in your photo, slide show, or video of your pet with their favorite gift, or opening a gift or even giving a gift. Maybe they have a special gift? That counts, too. We'll also accept holiday photos of your pet whether a gift is involved or not.

All pets are welcome to enter: dogs, cats, birds, gerbils, hamsters, geckos, chickens, frogs, turtles, snakes, pigs, horses, just to name a few.

We'll be accepting entries from December 1st through the 13th, noon EST. Visit us in the forum where we'll be hanging out and introducing the new entries until voting begins on the 14th.

Check out the contest, read the rules (on the right) and join in the fun.

Before you go, stop by our Holiday Gift Guide for more ideas for your special pet this holiday season.
